1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
2003? Wow. That's a long time.
2. What does your username mean?
"Hope" in Sindarin. It was the name given to Aragorn before his 20th birthday so that he would not know he was Aragorn, son of Arathorn and heir to Gondor and the Dunedain.
3. Describe yourself in three words.
Driven. Skilled. Fantastical.
4. Are you left or right handed?
Ambidextrous favoring my right hand.
5. What was your first deviation?
A photo collage of "Tears in Heaven" for Lord of the Rings.
6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
Costumes. I love the whole process of making costumes. Everything from designing them to building them to wearing them. I love that costumes build a world and tell a personal story at the same time. What people wear gives so many insights into who people are. I also love the technical end of constructing costumes.
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Digital art. I've been working at it for years and I think I'm pretty proficient at it, but there's always room to grow.
8. What was your first favourite?

9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Digital fanart.
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Oh no, that's hard. I'll go with an oldie but a goodie. The forever talented briannacherrygarcia
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
idolwild is who I think of when I think of my favorite fanart from when I first got onto DeviantArt and I've had the great fortune of meeting so many others of my favorite artsists.
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
When I started on dA, I was in high school. I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. dA has always inspired and enriched my work. Now in my adult life, I am an artist. I use dA for my professional portfolio that I am so proud of and I keep tabs on my friends who are stunning artists.
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
Pen. Pencil. Watercolor. Photoshop.
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
At home. I do best when I immerse myself in music and just work.
15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
I love losing myself in art. I don't know that I particularly have a favorite moment, but I get to see all the wonderful things my friends and others are making.

New Camera, New Designs, Same Old Estel

Recently, you might have noticed I've been filling my galleries with new photos. I recently purchased my new Nikon D5300, which I am in love with. The goal is to use it for many forms of photograph as well as a video camera for some upcoming projects.
I am also trying to get back into the habit of posting costume and character designs regularly. Since being out of school, I've fallen out of practice with finishing my designs and posting them, but I'm working on doing more designs and posting them.
Also the fanart is not over.
Outside of all of that, I just wanted to let you all know that I really appreciate your support, as always.

dA Premium Membership and Why

So I finally did it. After being on dA for 7 years, I finally bought myself a premium membership.
My logic is two-fold.
One. I just finished my first day of work at Disneyland yesterday, and I deserve something special for getting a job.
Two. It is self-encouragement to keep at my artistic pursuits. I'm very proud of the work I have done, and I would like to give myself an incentive to keep at it now that I have a source of income.

Photography Spam

I spent a lot of time not posting photos because I wasn't taking that many up at Berkeley. Now, there will be lots. I'm on vacation in the Florida Keys, and I took a lot of photos. I'll also have other photos that I've got backlogged on my computer once I get home. So yes, a warning of the photography spam for everyone!
