This is amazing work! Those robes look like their taken straight out of the game! I love the robes from KOTOR, although my personal favourite is the red ones Juhani(?) wears when she first joins you.

Wow! Thank you! I really love the robes in those games. Juhani's are really cool. Though I find her annoying, Bastilla's are my favorite.

Wow! Excellent work! This is a brilliant cosplay! ^_^

I love the Jedi robes from KotOR 1! It's a shame this isn't cosplayed more often!
Well done!

Thank you! I agree, the designs from this game are GREAT. I recently met the first pair of people besides me that have done it and I may have freaked out on them a bit because I was so excited.

Hahaha, I'd probably be the same in your shoes! :P

Once again, fantastic work! ^_^ You should be really proud of such an awesome cosplay! It truly is spot on!

I may consider doing it myself someday! :D

So, this is fantastic. Did you use a template? Or did you draw up the plans yourself? I'd really love to make some KOTOR robes too, so any advice or hints would be most welcome.

I patterned this myself. It was an early venture into patterning for me, but it still holds up. It's very robe/tunic like if that helps?

Do you still have the patterns? And would you have tips on adjusting them for men?

There are far too few KOTOR Jedi out there at cons. That needs to be corrected.

I have the pattern, but it's very much so something I made in my own head. I don't think it would make much sense to other humans. That being said, I'll bet something like the old school Trek costumes (the wrap-tunic ones) could be converted for a man to wear. All you'd have to do is add the longer back of it.

And yes, I agree. There should always be more KOTOR Jedi out there.

Ah, yeah. That makes sense. I do admire when someone can construct something so complex from visual information only, and in the head. Amazing what inspired artists can do, isn't it? No limits on us.

I loved the jedi robes in this game - it looked so unique and pragmatic compared with the usual robes in the later centuries... which they for some reason put in KOTOR II.

Yeah, I was confused by that change, too. I was confused by a lot of things about KOTOR II, but weren't we all?

Anyway, thank you for the comment!

:icondarthvaderplz: :iconsaysplz: Impressive

cool design for Jedi robes, I was searching "jedi robes" looking for a design that my girlfriend would like if she would ever want her own. I found this photo and showed it to her and she said "that's pretty badass"

that must of have been a lot work to put together, making all the measurements and fabric shopping but it looks like it was all worth in the end

Hmmm...Parkssabers, so there is more than just Ultrasabers [link] out there when it comes to custom FX lightsabers. The one thing that is really different between Hasbro, Parks and Ultrasabers is the blade design. Ultrasabers blades don't use those bubbles in the blade to give it that extending and retracting effect. So the blade turns on and off at the speed of light. When you remove the blade with an allen wrench it becomes a convenient flash light. Since their blades have no bubbles it makes then pretty durable.
This is a durability test video of their highest grade of blades [link]
They sell a mixture of stunt sabers (sabers with no sound) and sabers with sound.

Thanks for such an excellent comment! There's some great options out there for female Jedi robes. I particularly like this one because I fancy myself a bit of a sentinel.

They were pretty fun to make and I really fell in love with the fabric. Its just curtain fabric from JoAnn's. Nothing extremely classy. Its just got such a great texture and its really light.

I've been looking at buying a new lightsaber. I'd be going back to Parks again, simply for the fact that my first one has been very good to me and I really like their design.

Again, thanks so much for the great comment!!!
